Assumption of Risk and Liability

Please read the assumption of risk and release of liability BEFORE signing it. If you do not understand any part of it or have any questions, please contact us.

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in any of the programs, activities and related events of Adirondack Lakes & Trails Outfitters, Inc., I/we the undersigned, acknowledge, appreciate and agree that:

1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program, activity or event is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular skills, equipment and personal discipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and

2. I AND/or any children or persons in my care knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for myself and /or any children or persons in my care.

3. I and/or any children or persons in my care, willingly agree and comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I and/or any children or persons in my care observe any unusual significant hazard during my/our presence or participation, I and/or any children or persons in my care will remove myself/ourselves from participation and bring such to the attention of Adirondack Lakes & Trails Outfitters, Inc. immediately; and

4. I, for myself and/or any children or persons in my care and on behalf of my/our heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release , indemnify and hold harmless Adirondack Lakes & Trails Outfitters, Inc., their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises or equipment used for the activity (“Releasees”), with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property associated with my presence or participation, whether arising from the negligence of the releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I AND/OR ANY CHILDREN OR PERSONS IN MY CARE HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I AND/OR ANY CHILDREN OR PERSONS IN MY CARE HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.

Booking Policy


You are responsible for our equipment.  

Please take care of it and return it in the condition it was issued. By accepting this Booking Policy you agree to be responsible for any loss or damage to our equipment.

To minimize risk of damage:
Do not drag boats/boards or leave them in the water when not in use
Load up boats when they are in the water and parallel to shore
Do not use boats/boards in whitewater or fast moving water

Guest information and Fees

We require contact details and a risk/waiver form completed for each participant. We kindly ask that you complete this online before arrival to avoid any delay. It can be done at time of booking or by clicking the Complete Guest Information link on the invoice.

Booking and payment
Payment in full is required at the time of booking. Inventory is not reserved until payment is made.
Reservation will be cancelled if not paid within 7 days of booking
Payment in full is required before a trip, rental or course can proceed
Your payment for this reservation confirms your agreement to this booking policy
Rentals and outfitting are priced by the calendar day
We will accept cash, personal check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover or Amex) for payment
Reservations can be made online at www.adirondackoutfitters.com, by calling us at +1 518 8917450 or in person at our store.
Payment can be made online, by phone with a credit/debit card or in person at our store
Deposits may be arranged on request (at our discretion)

Refunds
Cancellation 7 days or more in advance: 100% of deposit less $20 processing fee
Cancellation 7 days or less: 50% refund of total amount OR 100% store credit or future rental or service

Early Returns
If you return equipment before the scheduled end of your rental period, you will be refunded 50% for each full-day remaining of the rental period. This does not apply to one-day rentals. One-day rentals are paid in full with no refund.

Terms for Participation
The use of a life vest is mandatory at all times when on the water for all participants.
Any customer who appears under the influence of alcohol, illegal, or controlled substances will not be allowed to participate in any activities, events, or programs of Adirondack Lakes and Trails Outfitters, Inc.
All participants are required to accept the terms of and sign our Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability before renting any equipment or participating in any activities, events, or programs of Adirondack Lakes and Trails Outfitters, Inc.
Participants are responsible for being prepared physically, mentally, and with adequate equipment for the activity in which they’re participating.
Participants are expected to obey directions from staff, instructors, and guides.
Be courteous and respectful of other participants.
